Restaurant Orontes
Orontes is the original name of the river Asi that flows through Southern Turkey to the east side of the Mediterranean. The valleys through which this river flows have had a great deal of influence on our local dishes.
In this region the cooking is extremely varied and healthy, with traces Greek, Roman, Arab, Armenian, French and Turkish influences. Anyone who knows the areas around Antakya (historic Antioch) will never forget our local dishes. Charcoal grilled meat and fish make up the basis of our interest in extensive selections of starters and hors d’oeuvres.
Products from this area, such as pomegranate sauce, herbs and chick peas for humus are imported. Along with these we use olive oil and fresh ingredients.
All main courses include fries, bulgur (wheat rice), cacik and salad.
